Calathea 'Viridis-wrenfeather' care

Among the quieter members of the genus, Calathea 'Viridis-wrenfeather' forms a vining spreader and settles quickly indoors.

Give it low to medium light; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. It prefers to be watered sparingly, letting the pot dry almost through, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.

Keep it at average room humidity; pot it in a free-draining cactus-leaning mix and refresh the top layer each spring. It is mildly irritating to pets if chewed, so shelve it accordingly.
