Calathea 'Velutina-wrenfeather' care
Calathea 'Velutina-wrenfeather' is a forgiving choice for most rooms, developing a trailing habit within its first year.
It does best in bright light with no direct midday sun, though it tolerates brief departures without sulking. Water when the top third of the mix is dry. Yellowing lower leaves almost always mean too much, not too little.
It is happiest at occasional misting in dry rooms, potted in a free-draining cactus-leaning mix. It is mildly irritating to pets if chewed, so shelve it accordingly.
