Calathea 'Stellata-velutina' care
Calathea 'Stellata-velutina' is a forgiving choice for most rooms, developing a compact rosette within its first year.
It does best in bright indirect light, though it tolerates brief departures without sulking. Water when the top third of the mix is dry; the fastest way to lose one is a saucer left full.
Keep it at average room humidity; pot it in coco coir with added bark and refresh the top layer each spring. It is mildly irritating to pets if chewed, so shelve it accordingly.
