Calathea 'Perlata-velutina' care

Among the quieter members of the genus, Calathea 'Perlata-velutina' forms a compact rosette and settles quickly indoors.

Give it bright indirect light; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. It prefers to be watered when the leaves just begin to soften, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.

It is happiest at average room humidity, potted in rich, moisture-retentive mix. It responds visibly to a monthly feed through the growing season.
