Calathea 'Perlata-quieta' care

Calathea 'Perlata-quieta' is a forgiving choice for most rooms, developing a vining spreader within its first year.

It does best in bright indirect light, though it tolerates brief departures without sulking. It prefers to be watered sparingly, letting the pot dry almost through, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.

Aim for occasional misting in dry rooms and use a chunky aroid mix — roots here want air as much as water. New leaves emerge paler and darken over their first fortnight.
