Calathea 'Opaline-quieta' care
Calathea 'Opaline-quieta' rewards a patient owner: it grows as an upright clump and asks mostly to be left alone.
Give it medium filtered light; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. Water sparingly, letting the pot dry almost through; the fastest way to lose one is a saucer left full.
It is happiest at occasional misting in dry rooms, potted in standard mix cut with a third perlite. New leaves emerge paler and darken over their first fortnight.
