Calathea 'Marmorata-vireo' care

Among the quieter members of the genus, Calathea 'Marmorata-vireo' forms a trailing habit and settles quickly indoors.

It does best in morning sun with afternoon shade, though it tolerates brief departures without sulking. Water sparingly, letting the pot dry almost through; the fastest way to lose one is a saucer left full.

It is happiest at 55% humidity or higher, potted in standard mix cut with a third perlite. New leaves emerge paler and darken over their first fortnight.
