Calathea 'Marmorata-umbra' care
Calathea 'Marmorata-umbra' is a forgiving choice for most rooms, developing an upright clump within its first year.
It does best in medium filtered light, though it tolerates brief departures without sulking. Water sparingly, letting the pot dry almost through. Yellowing lower leaves almost always mean too much, not too little.
It is happiest at average room humidity, potted in rich, moisture-retentive mix. New leaves emerge paler and darken over their first fortnight.
