Calathea 'Halcyon-seraphine' care

Collectors know Calathea 'Halcyon-seraphine' for its steady pace; it keeps a slow climber even in imperfect corners.

Give it low to medium light; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. Water when the top third of the mix is dry. Yellowing lower leaves almost always mean too much, not too little.

It is happiest at a pebble tray in heated rooms, potted in rich, moisture-retentive mix. Propagation is straightforward from stem cuttings rooted in water.
