Calathea 'Ember-halcyon' care

Calathea 'Ember-halcyon' is a forgiving choice for most rooms, developing a vining spreader within its first year.

Position it in morning sun with afternoon shade and rotate the pot monthly for even growth. Water when the leaves just begin to soften; the fastest way to lose one is a saucer left full.

Keep it at a humid corner or grouped planting; pot it in a free-draining cactus-leaning mix and refresh the top layer each spring. It is mildly irritating to pets if chewed, so shelve it accordingly.
