Calathea 'Duskwell-lucida' care

Among the quieter members of the genus, Calathea 'Duskwell-lucida' forms a trailing habit and settles quickly indoors.

Give it morning sun with afternoon shade; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. It prefers to be watered little and often, keeping the mix barely moist, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.

It is happiest at a pebble tray in heated rooms, potted in a free-draining cactus-leaning mix. New leaves emerge paler and darken over their first fortnight.
