Calathea 'Cascadia-tessera' care
Collectors know Calathea 'Cascadia-tessera' for its steady pace; it keeps a slow climber even in imperfect corners.
It does best in medium filtered light, though it tolerates brief departures without sulking. It prefers to be watered weekly in summer and fortnightly in winter, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.
Keep it at a humid corner or grouped planting; pot it in coco coir with added bark and refresh the top layer each spring. Under good conditions it may flower indoors, though the foliage is the point.
