Calathea 'Brevifolia-duskwell' care

Calathea 'Brevifolia-duskwell' rewards a patient owner: it grows as a trailing habit and asks mostly to be left alone.

Give it medium filtered light; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. Water weekly in summer and fortnightly in winter. Yellowing lower leaves almost always mean too much, not too little.

Keep it at a humid corner or grouped planting; pot it in a free-draining cactus-leaning mix and refresh the top layer each spring. It is mildly irritating to pets if chewed, so shelve it accordingly.
