Calathea 'Aurora-duskwell' care

Among the quieter members of the genus, Calathea 'Aurora-duskwell' forms a vining spreader and settles quickly indoors.

It does best in bright light with no direct midday sun, though it tolerates brief departures without sulking. Water sparingly, letting the pot dry almost through; the fastest way to lose one is a saucer left full.

Keep it at a pebble tray in heated rooms; pot it in standard mix cut with a third perlite and refresh the top layer each spring. It responds visibly to a monthly feed through the growing season.
