Pilea 'Stellata-tessera' care

Among the quieter members of the genus, Pilea 'Stellata-tessera' forms a compact rosette and settles quickly indoors.

Give it morning sun with afternoon shade; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. Water sparingly, letting the pot dry almost through. Yellowing lower leaves almost always mean too much, not too little.

It is happiest at a pebble tray in heated rooms, potted in coco coir with added bark. Under good conditions it may flower indoors, though the foliage is the point.
