Pilea 'Tessera-vireo' care
Among the quieter members of the genus, Pilea 'Tessera-vireo' forms a trailing habit and settles quickly indoors.
It does best in low to medium light, though it tolerates brief departures without sulking. It prefers to be watered when the top third of the mix is dry, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.
Aim for occasional misting in dry rooms and use a free-draining cactus-leaning mix — roots here want air as much as water. Under good conditions it may flower indoors, though the foliage is the point.
