Pilea 'Brevifolia-vireo' care

Collectors know Pilea 'Brevifolia-vireo' for its steady pace; it keeps an upright clump even in imperfect corners.

It does best in low to medium light, though it tolerates brief departures without sulking. It prefers to be watered little and often, keeping the mix barely moist, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.

Aim for a humid corner or grouped planting and use coco coir with added bark — roots here want air as much as water. New leaves emerge paler and darken over their first fortnight.
