Pilea 'Silvergleam-tessera' care

Among the quieter members of the genus, Pilea 'Silvergleam-tessera' forms a compact rosette and settles quickly indoors.

Position it in low to medium light and rotate the pot monthly for even growth. It prefers to be watered weekly in summer and fortnightly in winter, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.

Keep it at 55% humidity or higher; pot it in standard mix cut with a third perlite and refresh the top layer each spring. New leaves emerge paler and darken over their first fortnight.
