Pilea 'Seraphine-vireo' care

Among the quieter members of the genus, Pilea 'Seraphine-vireo' forms a slow climber and settles quickly indoors.

Give it bright indirect light; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. It prefers to be watered weekly in summer and fortnightly in winter, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.

Keep it at average room humidity; pot it in a chunky aroid mix and refresh the top layer each spring. It is mildly irritating to pets if chewed, so shelve it accordingly.
