Pilea 'Seraphine-velutina' care

Pilea 'Seraphine-velutina' rewards a patient owner: it grows as a vining spreader and asks mostly to be left alone.

It does best in low to medium light, though it tolerates brief departures without sulking. Water when the top third of the mix is dry; the fastest way to lose one is a saucer left full.

Aim for a pebble tray in heated rooms and use rich, moisture-retentive mix — roots here want air as much as water. New leaves emerge paler and darken over their first fortnight.
