Collectors know Pilea 'Seraphine-umbra' for its steady pace; it keeps a vining spreader even in imperfect corners.

Position it in morning sun with afternoon shade and rotate the pot monthly for even growth. Water little and often, keeping the mix barely moist. Yellowing lower leaves almost always mean too much, not too little.

Keep it at a pebble tray in heated rooms; pot it in rich, moisture-retentive mix and refresh the top layer each spring. Under good conditions it may flower indoors, though the foliage is the point.
