Pilea 'Ember-umbra' care

Pilea 'Ember-umbra' is a forgiving choice for most rooms, developing an upright clump within its first year.

Position it in low to medium light and rotate the pot monthly for even growth. Water when the leaves just begin to soften. Yellowing lower leaves almost always mean too much, not too little.

Keep it at a pebble tray in heated rooms; pot it in a chunky aroid mix and refresh the top layer each spring. Propagation is straightforward from stem cuttings rooted in water.
