Pilea 'Duskwell-velutina' care

Among the quieter members of the genus, Pilea 'Duskwell-velutina' forms a slow climber and settles quickly indoors.

Give it medium filtered light; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. It prefers to be watered when the leaves just begin to soften, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.

Aim for average room humidity and use a free-draining cactus-leaning mix — roots here want air as much as water. It is mildly irritating to pets if chewed, so shelve it accordingly.
