Pilea 'Brevifolia-velutina' care

Pilea 'Brevifolia-velutina' rewards a patient owner: it grows as an upright clump and asks mostly to be left alone.

It does best in medium filtered light, though it tolerates brief departures without sulking. It prefers to be watered when the leaves just begin to soften, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.

It is happiest at a pebble tray in heated rooms, potted in a free-draining cactus-leaning mix. It is mildly irritating to pets if chewed, so shelve it accordingly.
