Pilea 'Borealis-opaline' care

Among the quieter members of the genus, Pilea 'Borealis-opaline' forms an upright clump and settles quickly indoors.

Give it low to medium light; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. Water little and often, keeping the mix barely moist. Yellowing lower leaves almost always mean too much, not too little.

Keep it at occasional misting in dry rooms; pot it in rich, moisture-retentive mix and refresh the top layer each spring. New leaves emerge paler and darken over their first fortnight.
