Pilea 'Borealis-marmorata' care

Pilea 'Borealis-marmorata' rewards a patient owner: it grows as an upright clump and asks mostly to be left alone.

It does best in morning sun with afternoon shade, though it tolerates brief departures without sulking. It prefers to be watered when the leaves just begin to soften, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.

Aim for a humid corner or grouped planting and use coco coir with added bark — roots here want air as much as water. Propagation is straightforward from stem cuttings rooted in water.
