Pilea 'Borealis-halcyon' care

Collectors know Pilea 'Borealis-halcyon' for its steady pace; it keeps a slow climber even in imperfect corners.

It does best in morning sun with afternoon shade, though it tolerates brief departures without sulking. Water little and often, keeping the mix barely moist. Yellowing lower leaves almost always mean too much, not too little.

Keep it at average room humidity; pot it in coco coir with added bark and refresh the top layer each spring. Propagation is straightforward from stem cuttings rooted in water.
