Maranta 'Tessera' care

Among the quieter members of the genus, Maranta 'Tessera' forms a trailing habit and settles quickly indoors.

Give it bright indirect light; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. Water sparingly, letting the pot dry almost through; the fastest way to lose one is a saucer left full.

Aim for a humid corner or grouped planting and use a chunky aroid mix — roots here want air as much as water. It responds visibly to a monthly feed through the growing season.
