Maranta 'Tessera-vireo' care

Among the quieter members of the genus, Maranta 'Tessera-vireo' forms a vining spreader and settles quickly indoors.

Position it in bright light with no direct midday sun and rotate the pot monthly for even growth. Water sparingly, letting the pot dry almost through. Yellowing lower leaves almost always mean too much, not too little.

Aim for occasional misting in dry rooms and use coco coir with added bark — roots here want air as much as water. Under good conditions it may flower indoors, though the foliage is the point.
