Maranta 'Cascadia-stellata' care

Among the quieter members of the genus, Maranta 'Cascadia-stellata' forms a compact rosette and settles quickly indoors.

Give it bright light with no direct midday sun; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. Water little and often, keeping the mix barely moist; the fastest way to lose one is a saucer left full.

Keep it at a humid corner or grouped planting; pot it in rich, moisture-retentive mix and refresh the top layer each spring. New leaves emerge paler and darken over their first fortnight.
