Maranta 'Opaline' care
Collectors know Maranta 'Opaline' for its steady pace; it keeps a compact rosette even in imperfect corners.
It does best in morning sun with afternoon shade, though it tolerates brief departures without sulking. Water when the leaves just begin to soften; the fastest way to lose one is a saucer left full.
Aim for a humid corner or grouped planting and use a free-draining cactus-leaning mix — roots here want air as much as water. Under good conditions it may flower indoors, though the foliage is the point.
