Maranta 'Nocturne-viridis' care

Maranta 'Nocturne-viridis' is a forgiving choice for most rooms, developing a trailing habit within its first year.

Give it low to medium light; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. It prefers to be watered little and often, keeping the mix barely moist, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.

It is happiest at a pebble tray in heated rooms, potted in rich, moisture-retentive mix. Propagation is straightforward from stem cuttings rooted in water.
