Maranta 'Lucida-umbra' care

Maranta 'Lucida-umbra' rewards a patient owner: it grows as a slow climber and asks mostly to be left alone.

Position it in medium filtered light and rotate the pot monthly for even growth. It prefers to be watered little and often, keeping the mix barely moist, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.

Keep it at occasional misting in dry rooms; pot it in rich, moisture-retentive mix and refresh the top layer each spring. Propagation is straightforward from stem cuttings rooted in water.
