Maranta 'Brevifolia-vireo' care

Collectors know Maranta 'Brevifolia-vireo' for its steady pace; it keeps a trailing habit even in imperfect corners.

It does best in bright light with no direct midday sun, though it tolerates brief departures without sulking. It prefers to be watered when the top third of the mix is dry, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.

It is happiest at 55% humidity or higher, potted in a free-draining cactus-leaning mix. Under good conditions it may flower indoors, though the foliage is the point.
