Begonia 'Quieta-umbra' care

Collectors know Begonia 'Quieta-umbra' for its steady pace; it keeps a vining spreader even in imperfect corners.

Give it bright indirect light; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. It prefers to be watered weekly in summer and fortnightly in winter, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.

Keep it at average room humidity; pot it in standard mix cut with a third perlite and refresh the top layer each spring. New leaves emerge paler and darken over their first fortnight.
