Begonia 'Minima-umbra' care

Among the quieter members of the genus, Begonia 'Minima-umbra' forms a slow climber and settles quickly indoors.

Give it low to medium light; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. It prefers to be watered weekly in summer and fortnightly in winter, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.

Keep it at a humid corner or grouped planting; pot it in a chunky aroid mix and refresh the top layer each spring. Under good conditions it may flower indoors, though the foliage is the point.
