Begonia 'Halcyon-tessera' care

Collectors know Begonia 'Halcyon-tessera' for its steady pace; it keeps a slow climber even in imperfect corners.

Give it morning sun with afternoon shade; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. It prefers to be watered sparingly, letting the pot dry almost through, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.

Keep it at a pebble tray in heated rooms; pot it in a chunky aroid mix and refresh the top layer each spring. It is mildly irritating to pets if chewed, so shelve it accordingly.
