Alocasia 'Seraphine-wrenfeather' care

Alocasia 'Seraphine-wrenfeather' rewards a patient owner: it grows as an upright clump and asks mostly to be left alone.

Give it medium filtered light; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. Water weekly in summer and fortnightly in winter; the fastest way to lose one is a saucer left full.

Keep it at a pebble tray in heated rooms; pot it in standard mix cut with a third perlite and refresh the top layer each spring. Propagation is straightforward from stem cuttings rooted in water.
