Alocasia 'Borealis-stellata' care

Alocasia 'Borealis-stellata' rewards a patient owner: it grows as an upright clump and asks mostly to be left alone.

Position it in medium filtered light and rotate the pot monthly for even growth. Water when the leaves just begin to soften; the fastest way to lose one is a saucer left full.

Aim for average room humidity and use coco coir with added bark — roots here want air as much as water. Propagation is straightforward from stem cuttings rooted in water.
