Alocasia 'Nocturne-velutina' care

Collectors know Alocasia 'Nocturne-velutina' for its steady pace; it keeps a trailing habit even in imperfect corners.

Give it bright light with no direct midday sun; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. Water when the top third of the mix is dry; the fastest way to lose one is a saucer left full.

Keep it at 55% humidity or higher; pot it in coco coir with added bark and refresh the top layer each spring. It is mildly irritating to pets if chewed, so shelve it accordingly.
