Alocasia 'Lucida-vireo' care

Alocasia 'Lucida-vireo' rewards a patient owner: it grows as a trailing habit and asks mostly to be left alone.

It does best in medium filtered light, though it tolerates brief departures without sulking. Water when the top third of the mix is dry. Yellowing lower leaves almost always mean too much, not too little.

Keep it at a pebble tray in heated rooms; pot it in a free-draining cactus-leaning mix and refresh the top layer each spring. It is mildly irritating to pets if chewed, so shelve it accordingly.
