Alocasia 'Borealis-perlata' care

Alocasia 'Borealis-perlata' is a forgiving choice for most rooms, developing a slow climber within its first year.

Give it bright light with no direct midday sun; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. Water little and often, keeping the mix barely moist; the fastest way to lose one is a saucer left full.

Keep it at 55% humidity or higher; pot it in standard mix cut with a third perlite and refresh the top layer each spring. Propagation is straightforward from stem cuttings rooted in water.
