Tradescantia 'Tessera-viridis' care

Tradescantia 'Tessera-viridis' rewards a patient owner: it grows as a slow climber and asks mostly to be left alone.

It does best in bright indirect light, though it tolerates brief departures without sulking. It prefers to be watered little and often, keeping the mix barely moist, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.

Keep it at a pebble tray in heated rooms; pot it in rich, moisture-retentive mix and refresh the top layer each spring. It is mildly irritating to pets if chewed, so shelve it accordingly.
