Tradescantia 'Seraphine-velutina' care

Tradescantia 'Seraphine-velutina' rewards a patient owner: it grows as a vining spreader and asks mostly to be left alone.

It does best in bright indirect light, though it tolerates brief departures without sulking. Water when the leaves just begin to soften. Yellowing lower leaves almost always mean too much, not too little.

Keep it at average room humidity; pot it in standard mix cut with a third perlite and refresh the top layer each spring. It responds visibly to a monthly feed through the growing season.
