Tradescantia 'Minima-velutina' care

Among the quieter members of the genus, Tradescantia 'Minima-velutina' forms a trailing habit and settles quickly indoors.

Give it medium filtered light; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. Water little and often, keeping the mix barely moist; the fastest way to lose one is a saucer left full.

Aim for a humid corner or grouped planting and use coco coir with added bark — roots here want air as much as water. It responds visibly to a monthly feed through the growing season.
