Tradescantia 'Halcyon' is a forgiving choice for most rooms, developing a vining spreader within its first year.

It does best in morning sun with afternoon shade, though it tolerates brief departures without sulking. It prefers to be watered little and often, keeping the mix barely moist, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.

Aim for a humid corner or grouped planting and use a chunky aroid mix — roots here want air as much as water. It responds visibly to a monthly feed through the growing season.
