Tradescantia 'Ember-perlata' care

Tradescantia 'Ember-perlata' is a forgiving choice for most rooms, developing an upright clump within its first year.

Give it medium filtered light; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. Water little and often, keeping the mix barely moist. Yellowing lower leaves almost always mean too much, not too little.

Keep it at a pebble tray in heated rooms; pot it in a chunky aroid mix and refresh the top layer each spring. Propagation is straightforward from stem cuttings rooted in water.
