Tradescantia 'Ember-minima' care
Tradescantia 'Ember-minima' is a forgiving choice for most rooms, developing a compact rosette within its first year.
Give it medium filtered light; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. Water weekly in summer and fortnightly in winter; the fastest way to lose one is a saucer left full.
Aim for a pebble tray in heated rooms and use a free-draining cactus-leaning mix — roots here want air as much as water. Propagation is straightforward from stem cuttings rooted in water.
