Tradescantia 'Borealis' care

Among the quieter members of the genus, Tradescantia 'Borealis' forms a compact rosette and settles quickly indoors.

Give it bright indirect light; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. It prefers to be watered when the top third of the mix is dry, and it will forgive a missed week far better than a doubled one.

It is happiest at occasional misting in dry rooms, potted in standard mix cut with a third perlite. It is mildly irritating to pets if chewed, so shelve it accordingly.
