Tradescantia 'Aurora' care

Among the quieter members of the genus, Tradescantia 'Aurora' forms a trailing habit and settles quickly indoors.

Give it bright light with no direct midday sun; leaf colour fades noticeably in darker spots. Water little and often, keeping the mix barely moist. Yellowing lower leaves almost always mean too much, not too little.

It is happiest at a pebble tray in heated rooms, potted in standard mix cut with a third perlite. It responds visibly to a monthly feed through the growing season.
